Job Title: Music Program Manager, InterimDepartment: Third Street PartnersReports to: Director, Third Street PartnersDirect Reports: Teaching ArtistsTimeframe: July 1, 2026 – November 30, 2026 Salary: $2,270 to $2,730 biweekly  Position OverviewThird Street seeks a full-time Interim Program Manager to provide maternity leave coverage for our School & Community Partnership Programming during the fall of 2026.  The Program Manager will work directly with the Director of Third Street Partners and collaborate with other staff as needed. They will serve as a vital member of the Third Street Partners administrative team, working to support faculty, and ensure timely communication and coordination among Third Street’s Partner Schools and Faculty. Duties will include supervising 10+ teaching artists, site visits, instrument delivery, and liaising with school staff, as well as on-site administration.This is a hybrid Monday through Friday role with a requirement of Tuesdays on-site. Additional days on-site may be required based on assigned needs and projects.  Responsibilities & DutiesOverseeing the partnerships, faculty and programming in specific partner sitesWorking with site leaders to advocate and monitor working conditions and quality instructionTraveling to partner sites across all five boroughs for regular visits, performances, and delivery of instructional suppliesAssisting Director with hiring, retention, and supervision of facultyDetermining teaching and concert schedules for faculty with assigned sitesObserving classes, and maintaining documentation on partnership activityHelping plan, schedule and prepare for professional development of facultyEnsuring that instruments, music and supplies are available for partner sitesCoordinating school performances and family engagement eventsEncourage Partner student participation in Music and Dance School activitiesMaintaining and disseminating program statisticsAttending regular meetings as requested by the DirectorPerforming any other department or organization-related duties or special projects as directed by supervisor Skills and QualificationsBachelor’s degree in music education or arts administration2+ years’ experience teaching in large group settings, public schools, or community music schoolsStrong in each of the following competencies:IntegrityFlexibilityCommitmentCommunicationOrganization Background: As the nation’s longest-running community music school, Third Street Music School has been transforming lives through the arts for 132 years.
