Senior Architect (Hospitality) (New York)

Garrett Singer Architecture + Design (@garrettsingerdesign) is currently seeking a talented and experienced Senior Architect to join our growing team. We are a NYC based hospitality driven studio known for thoughtful, design forward environments that blend creativity with technical excellence. This is an opportunity to take a leadership role in shaping impactful projects from concept through completion.About the RoleThe Senior Architect will lead project teams, oversee design development, and ensure the successful delivery of high quality architectural work. This role requires a strong design sensibility, technical expertise, and the ability to manage both clients and internal teams in a fast-paced studio environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead architectural projects from concept through construction administrationDevelop and present design concepts, drawings, and presentations to clientsCoordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal team membersOversee production of construction documents and ensure code complianceManage project schedules, budgets, and deliverablesMentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative studio cultureMaintain strong client relationships and represent the firm professionallyQualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture (required)Professional licensure (preferred but not required)8–12+ years of professional experience, ideally in NYC-based firmsStrong portfolio demonstrating design excellence, particularly in hospitality or experiential environmentsProficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp- 3D tools a plus)Deep understanding of NYC building codes, zoning, and permitting processesExcellent communication, leadership, and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectivelyIdeal CandidatePassionate about hospitality driven design and user experienceDetail oriented with strong technical problem-solving skillsConfident leading teams and interfacing with clientsCollaborative, proactive, and design-focusedExperience seeing projects through construction and installationThis position is in person in our NYC office Mon-Thursdays, Fridays are remote.
