Russell Tobin's client, an American social networking platform company, is hiring a Community Activation Coordinator in New York, NYApply Now!Employment Type: Contract/HybridLocation: New York, NY 10007Duration: 5+ months with possible extensionPay range: $60/hr - $65/hr W2Work schedule: Mon – FriOverviewAs the Community Activation Coordinator within the Brand Success Team, you will serve as a strategic liaison and operational driver for brand presence and activations within online communities. You will pitch and support the execution of high-impact organic community campaigns, ensuring they are authentically integrated into community culture and engagement environments.This is a highly collaborative role requiring a mix of project coordination, partner communication, campaign execution, creative production, and strategic brand advisory.Key ResponsibilitiesOutreach & AdvisingDraft and send tailored outreach pitches to talent agents, PR firms, and brand partners to secure participation in community activations, including live Q&A-style events.Act as a consultant for external partners by advising on platform etiquette, community-specific norms, and best practices for authentic engagement.Maintain outreach trackers and manage activation pipelines, ensuring timely follow-ups and organized partner communication.Research and identify high-potential guests, creators, and activation opportunities across a variety of interest-based communities and verticals.Creative Production & StrategyCustomize promotional assets and graphics using provided templates while ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.Draft post copy and guide partners on messaging that resonates with target audiences and community expectations.Conduct final quality reviews to ensure content meets technical requirements and aligns with community culture and moderation standards.Activation Support & ExecutionCoordinate end-to-end logistics for community activations and live engagement campaigns, including real-time troubleshooting and partner support.Monitor community sentiment, external conversations, and press coverage to help ensure a positive experience for both partners and audiences.Support multiple concurrent activations while maintaining strong attention to detail and execution quality.Analysis & InsightsTrack and report on campaign performance metrics, including engagement, reach, participation, and sentiment.Build post-campaign recaps and insights presentations for internal stakeholders and external partners.Translate performance data into actionable recommendations for future activations and engagement strategies.Qualifications & Skills1–3 years of experience in marketing operations, community management, communications, talent relations, or related fields.Strong understanding of online community ecosystems, trends, moderation styles, and engagement dynamics.Ability to confidently advise external partners on authentic community participation and audience engagement.Exceptional organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple fast-paced campaigns simultaneously.Strong written communication and copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone and messaging for different audiences and communities.Experience with creative tools such as Canva or Figma for template customization and light design work.Comfortable working cross-functionally in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.Role FocusExpand support for community activation campaigns.Execute campaigns and manage day-to-day activation operations.Drive high-impact community engagement initiatives that support brand success and audience connection.Benefits that Russell Tobin offers:Russell Tobin and it's affiliates offers eligible employee's comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance and employee discounts with preferred vendors.Equal Employment OpportunityRussell Tobin and it's affiliates are an equal opportunity employer.
