AR Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to support customer invoicing, cash application, and reconciliation activities. This role works closely with operations and project management to ensure accurate billing, timely collections, and compliance with customer and state requirements. Industry experience in Oil & Gas or Transportation is highly preferred. Key Preferences (“Hot Buttons”) Oil & Gas or Transportation industry experience preferred Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Business Central experience preferred Duties & Responsibilities Collaborate with operations and project management to ensure accurate and complete customer invoicing information Perform weekly customer invoicing across all customers and service lines, including supporting documentation Submit invoices through customer portals as required and follow up regularly on invoice status Maintain constant internal and external communication regarding invoice status Review weekly bank activity and reconcile transactions to the cash sub-ledger for AR and AP entries Record cash entries for auto-debits and ACH payments not processed through Accounts Payable Investigate and resolve invoicing discrepancies Assist with general ledger account reconciliations Understand and support project reporting and coding structures Calculate monthly sales tax by state, remit payments timely, and record payments in the bank module Assist with ensuring timely state filings in all applicable states Cross-train and serve as backup for the Accounts Payable Clerk as needed Assist with year-end audit support, tax preparation, and external reporting requests Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications U.S. Military Veteran, National Guard/Reserve member, or Military Spouse preferred Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 3–5 years of accounting or invoicing experience Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong preference for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment Demonstrated leadership qualities Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Strong analytical and data analysis skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills with adaptability Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite HOUWD51
