Skilled Maintenance Technician

Position Title: Maintenance TechnicianWage: $30-$40/hour Based on experienceShift: 1stHours: 6am-3:30pm, 45-hour workweek; Overtime optional, Saturdays availableQPS Employment Group is hiring a Maintenance Technician for a company in Lake Geneva, WI. This is a direct hire opportunity.Maintenance Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Perform routine to advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on production equipmentDiagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC systemsAssist with equipment installation, rebuilds, and retrofitsCoordinate with OEMs and contractors for equipment support and serviceGenerate and execute preventive maintenance programsMaintain facility systems including building structure, electrical, mechanical, and HVACLead or support maintenance projects with minimal supervisionFabricate and weld guards, fixtures, and machine components (MIG, TIG, Stick, plasma cutting, etc.)Perform minor plumbing repairs (threading, sweating, gluing, pipe installation)Identify and order parts, manage spare parts inventory, and maintain maintenance logsUtilize CMMS and internal systems for work orders and documentationSupport Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiativesFollow all safety protocols including LOTO and PPE requirementsMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environmentMaintenance Technician Requirements:High school diploma or equivalentMinimum 3 years of experience required; 5-7 years preferredStrong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsExperience with PLCs, automation, and reading electrical schematics preferredAbility to operate forklifts and scissor liftsQualified to work with electrical systems up to 480VACExperience with LOTO and Arc Flash safety proceduresProficient with hand tools, measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipmentAbility to use shop equipment (saws, grinders, manual lathe, surface grinder, etc.)Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, documentation systems)Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detailSelf-motivated with the ability to prioritize and work independentlyAbility to stand, walk, climb, and work in confined spacesFrequently lift up to 30 pounds; occasionally lift up to 50 poundsAbility to work at heights using ladders or liftsExposure to indoor and occasional outdoor conditionsnsidine@IND022QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
