Software Engineer III (Platform Engineering)

Overview In this role you design, build, and scale cloud-based infrastructure on AWS, automating environments and improving platform reliability. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to support delivery, troubleshoot production issues, and drive IaC initiatives. You balance development with on-call operational work and mentoring, contributing to robust, secure platforms. This position offers impact through scalable infrastructure and end-to-end platform stability in a fast-paced setting. ResponsibilitiesSplit time between building/deploying infrastructure (approx. 70%) and operational support (approx. 30%).Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure supporting applications and data processes.Develop and maintain infrastructure automation, monitoring, CI/CD pipelines, and operational tooling.Manage AWS resources, including EC2 and related services.Support production platform services, troubleshoot outages, and lead root-cause analyses.Coordinate with external vendors (e.g., Microsoft) for high-priority production issues.Implement Infrastructure-as-Code solutions to improve reliability, scalability, and performance.Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to streamline delivery and stability.Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and promote best practices.Participate in an on-call rotation (approx. every three weeks).
