You belong here!About the team:As part of our Technology Operations team, you will work at the intersection of technology, operations, and compliance - designing, building, and maintaining automated workflows that streamline internal processes, reduce manual effort, and support compliance and product operations at scale.About the role:As an Automation Engineer, you will design, build, and deploy intelligent automation solutions that drive operational efficiency across DHI. You'll turn repetitive, time-consuming tasks into reliable, automated systems that support our teams and scale with our business.Why we're hiring for this role:We are growing our automation capabilities to meet the demands of a fast-moving, compliance-focused environment. This role is critical to freeing up our teams from manual work and enabling smarter, faster operations across the organization.Once hired, you will:Identify manual processes across the organization and begin translating them into scalable automation solutionsDesign and deploy your first automation workflows using scripting, APIs, and AWS servicesPartner with Product, Compliance, and Operations teams to understand requirements and deliver automation that aligns with business objectivesDocument automation processes and system integrations to support operational continuityTroubleshoot and resolve issues with existing automation pipelinesAs you progress in the role, you will:Monitor, maintain, and continuously improve automation solutions to ensure reliability and performanceBuild automations that enforce policy controls and generate audit-ready compliance outputsStay current with emerging automation tools, AI capabilities, and industry best practicesSupport compliance and operational workflows at increasing scale and complexityFunction as a key collaborative member of the Technology Operations teamWhat you bring to the team:Required:Hands-on experience designing and building automation solutions using scripting, APIs, or automation platformsProficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (Python, JavaScript, or similar)Experience designing, consuming, or developing RESTful APIs and service integrationsStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex operational challenges into actionable automation solutionsExcellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionallyPreferred:Experience working with Sift for fraud detection, risk scoring, or trust and safety operationsFamiliarity with Claude or other large language model APIs for intelligent automation and workflow augmentationFamiliarity with workflow orchestration tools and integration platforms (e.g., Zapier, Make, or similar)Understanding of compliance frameworks and the ability to build automations that support regulatory requirements and audit trailsExperience in product operations, including tooling, process design, or operational analyticsRemote (US-only) pay range: Base salary/pay per year, plus 10% annual bonus at 100% of plan targets tied to company and individual performance.
