You will work closely with clients to ensure their satisfaction and oversee the operational aspects of their shipments. You will collaborate with internal teams to provide exceptional service and meet client needs.Key ResponsibilitiesAccount ManagementAct as primary contact for key accounts as defined by branch- and regional managementPenetrate customer’s organization to identify and build relationships at all levelsWork across DSV’s network and divisions to maintain and grow share of walletEnsure rates are current, communicated to OPS and submitted to ISSC for auto rating purposesProvide clients with market insights to best predict and maneuver market challengesCreate, maintain and update SOPsLead client onboarding and implementationOperational ExecutionOversee day-to-day operational activities, identify risks, pain points and service gapsLead any and all collaboration efforts across internal stakeholders involved with the clientHead up and respond to spot quote requests identify upselling opportunitiesEnsure data quality KPIs are met including timeliness and billing daysAchieve and maintain acceptable AR ratingPerformance ReviewMonitor, analyze and action customer performance according to committed volumesMonitor, analyze and action DSV performance according to KPIs in Service Level AgreementEnsure client reporting requirements are metConduct effective client business reviews on scheduled cadence and own any follow up itemsStrategic FocusFacilitate/support contract and rate negotiationsIdentify new opportunities and structure deal teams to execute the opportunity to a winDevelop account plans and action outlined satisfaction, threats and development opportunitiesCreate and deploy bespoke logistics solutions according to client needs. Challenge the normDetermine necessity and feasibility of EDI and other tech solutions that will support eBookingAnalyze volume- and workflows to optimize productivity and uncover cost savings for clientManage rate optimization and yield managementTravel as necessaryEducational Background / Work ExperienceBachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field5+ years of experience in key account management in the transportation and logistics industryExperience with supply chain management, transportation, warehousing, and distributionSkills & CompetenciesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent problem-solving and decision-making skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong organizational and time management skillsKnowledge of transportation and logistics industry trends and best practicesProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant softwarePreferred QualificationsAdvanced degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related fieldExperience with international logistics and customs regulationsExperience with sales and business developmentLanguage SkillsFluent in English (written and spoken)Computer LiteracyProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant softwareExperience with transportation management systems (TMS) and customer relationship management (CRM) software is preferred.At Will EmploymentDSV Air & Sea Inc. employees are hired for an undefined period of time as “at will” employees.
