ETF Model Portfolio Specialist, VP I - State Street Investment Management

The Vice President, ETF Model Portfolio Specialist is a senior, client‑facing role responsible for driving adoption, growth, and revenue across State Street Investment Management’s ETF Model Portfolio and broader multi‑asset solutions platform. The role serves as a front‑line commercial specialist, partnering closely with Distribution and investment teams to deliver scalable portfolio solutions to advisors, platforms, and institutions and intermediaries.This position is part of the Global Multi‑Asset Solutions and ETF Model Portfolio team and reports directly to the Managing Director and Head of the team.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Engagement & Revenue GenerationServe as a primary subject‑matter expert for ETF Model Portfolios and multi‑asset solutions in client, home office, and platform‑level engagements across RIAs, Broker‑Dealers, national accounts, and strategic partnersPartner with Distribution to support and advance revenue‑generating opportunities, including flagship models, custom and semi‑custom portfolios, and strategic platform initiativesActively identify, shape, and progress pipeline opportunities by articulating solution fit, portfolio outcomes, and asset growth potentialParticipate in due diligence meetings, prospect discussions, and ongoing client engagements focused on portfolio construction and implementationLead client discussions on portfolio construction, asset allocation, positioning, trade rationale, and market contextSupport the design, refinement, and evolution of custom model solutions in partnership with the Investment Strategy GroupLead and deliver training sessions for new models and investment products, including model launches, enhancements, and platform‑specific implementationsServe as a presenter for internal and external trainings, webinars, roadshows, and model portfolio office hours to accelerate adoption and engagementAct as a specialist resource supporting Direct Indexing, separately managed accounts (SMAs), and tax‑managed investment strategiesProvide consistent subject‑matter expertise to Distribution teams supporting national and strategic accountsDevelop and deliver high‑quality, client‑facing and sales‑enablement materials, including model positioning narratives and portfolio explanationsPartner across Investment Strategy, Product, Marketing, Operations, and Distribution to incorporate client feedback into product development and go‑to‑market strategyExperience & QualificationsMinimum of 8 years of experience in asset management, wealth management, investment consulting, or a related fieldDemonstrated expertise in ETF‑based portfolio construction, model portfolios, and multi‑asset solutionsProven experience in client‑facing roles supporting sales activity, platform relationships, and advisor engagementWorking knowledge of Direct Indexing, SMAs, and tax‑managed investment strategiesCFA, CAIA, or equivalent professional designation strongly preferredRequired SkillsClient & Commercial SkillsAbility to lead sophisticated client, platform, and home office conversationsStrong commercial acumen with demonstrated success supporting revenue‑generating activitiesConfidence engaging with advisors, investment professionals, and senior stakeholdersDeep understanding of portfolio construction, asset allocation, and ETF‑based implementationAbility to link market views, investment strategy, and product capabilities to client outcomesTraining & Communication SkillsProven ability to design and deliver effective training sessions for investment products and portfolio solutionsStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable messagingExecution & Collaboration SkillsAbility to operate effectively in a global, matrixed organizationStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyResults‑oriented mindset with a focus on execution, impact, and scalable growthSalary Range$120,000 - $202,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified.
