Coding & AI Instructor for Kids (Part-Time)

About Code Space Lab Code Space Lab is a hands-on future technology program for children ages 7–14. Students explore coding, AI, robotics, game development, and digital creativity through engaging, project-based classes. We are preparing to launch our Boca Raton program and are looking for an energetic instructor who can connect with children, confidently lead a group, and make technology exciting and easy to understand. This Saturday position is especially well suited for current college or university students, recent graduates, and early-career professionals studying or working in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Education, Digital Media, or a related field. Position Details Part-time 1099 independent contractor position Saturdays, from morning through early afternoon Approximately 5 hours per week $22–$25 per hour, depending on experience In-person classes in Boca Raton Additional classes at other Boca Raton locations may become available What You’ll Do Lead coding and future technology classes for children ages 7–14. Deliver lessons using our complete, ready-to-use curriculum and teaching materials. Explain technical concepts clearly and in an age-appropriate way. Guide students through hands-on projects and problem-solving activities. Keep students engaged, motivated, and actively participating. Maintain a positive, organized, and safe classroom environment. Support demo classes for prospective students. Communicate professionally with parents and the Code Space Lab team. Make sure the required equipment, accounts, and software are ready before class. Ability to explain complex ideas in a simple and engaging way. Experience teaching, tutoring, mentoring, coaching, working at camps, or leading children’s activities. Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills. Basic knowledge of coding, computers, or digital technology. Ability to learn new platforms and follow a structured curriculum. Clear and professional spoken English. Reliability, punctuality, and consistent Saturday availability. Reliable transportation and ability to travel to teaching locations within Boca Raton. Willingness to complete a background check. Strong communication and presentation skills are more important to us than advanced programming experience. A Computer Science degree is not required. We provide the complete curriculum, teaching materials, and paid training. Preferred Qualifications Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university program in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Education, Digital Media, or a related field. Familiarity with Scratch, Python, Roblox Studio, Minecraft Education, AI tools, robotics, or similar platforms. Experience with after-school programs, STEM programs, camps, public speaking, or demo classes. Bilingual English/Spanish. What We Provide Paid curriculum training and onboarding.
