Assist with managing the school budget, requisitions, and all school funds.Oversee and coordinate student transportation including drop off and pick up.In coordination with the principal, respond to, coordinate, and oversee student discipline processes and proceduresIn coordination with the principal, attend and support PLC's, early/late releases, and other staff meetings.In coordination with the principal, conduct classroom walkthroughs, visitations, consultations, and observations to ensure program fidelityIn coordination with the principal, evaluates achievement and placement of students in SASED ProgrammingOversee the upkeep of school facilities and building and manage and oversee all safety drills.Evaluate certified and non certified staff as assigned by the principal.Ensures students with disabilities receive a free and appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment in accordance with state and federal lawIn coordination with other SASED administrators, oversee the preparation and implementation of facilitated IEPs, including annual reviews, reevaluations, initial evaluations, and other meetings as necessary completing follow-up documentation and reports, including facilitating all types of IEP meetingsDesign, implement, and assist with professional development opportunities as assigned by the Program Coordinator and Assistant Director of Programs and ServicesIn coordination with other SASED administrators, develop and provide ongoing mentoring, orientation for new staff, and professional learning opportunities that develop skills and knowledge to staff across education and innovative practicesAttend regularly scheduled administrator team meetingsCoordinate compliance with ISBE regulations and mandates, including IEP Compliance and implementation, maintaining accurate records, and sharing new information.Assesses student needs and recommends and monitors student support program ensuring equitable opportunity for success for all studentsOversee testing accommodations and alternate testingCoordinate and supervise ESY Programs.Support quality school and community relations through coordination and participating in special programs, ie- open houses, parent and student programsMaintain knowledge of current research and best practices in education through professional reading, membershipsOther duties as assigned by supervisorPhysical Demands And Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
