Employee Referral Bonus!! What does a Rouse PTA do? Provides PT services under the supervision and direction of PT who is licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Communicates and coordinates treatment functions with other disciplines in a constructive manner that helps build team effectiveness and cooperation. Communicates with PT and DOR regarding department programs, goals, objectives, problems, and successes. Promotes a safe working environment and works to eliminate fire and safety hazards broken or defective equipment supplies. Participates in Care Plan, Interdisciplinary Rehab and Department meetings as appropriate. Participates in educational in-services/programs regarding occupational therapy to staff, residents, and the community at large. Ensures cleanliness of department and facilities per infection control policies and procedures. Participates in facility/department QA/TQI programs as appropriate. Demonstrate and articulate sound clinical reasoning in treatment planning, implementation, & monitoring of resident progress. Adheres to professional, ethical, & legal standards of practice. Enhances therapy department by working together as a team to accept ownership for tasks while exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Ensure that the dignity of all residents is preserved as you carry out working tasks. Performs other duties as assigned. What are the requirements to be a PTA at the Rouse? Must be a graduate from a credited PTA program and be licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Experience in a long-term care environment a plus.
