Lathe Machinist/Toolmakers
Job Overview
As a Tool Maker, you will be responsible for creating and repairing precision tools and fixtures used in the manufacturing process. This role requires a high level of precision and attention to detail. Strong Math Skills Required.
Duties
- Utilize various tools and equipment to create, repair, and maintain precision tools
- Work with electrical discharge machining, plastics injection molding, CAM programming, and SolidWorks
- Assemble and disassemble tools as needed
- Use Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for quality control purposes
- Operate lathes, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
- Implement Lean manufacturing principles in tool-making processes
Review samples, drawings and specifications for each part to be produced
Assist with machines to adjust feeds and maintain necessary parameters
Use of calipers and micrometers
Experience
- Prior experience in tool making or a related field
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments
- Familiarity with CAM programming and SolidWorks software
- Knowledge of plastic injection molding processes is a plus

Pay: $21.00 - $26.68 per hour
