Maintenance Technician

If you enjoy being organized, managing schedules, and being hands-on, this could be a great fit.The Maintenance Technician role requires someone who is comfortable both behind a desk and occasionally checking on job sites and keeping track of people, processes, and priorities with confidence. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and enjoys the maintenance aspects of the property management role.Compensation:$60,000 - $70,000Paid Time OffHealth Benefits401(k)Professional Development & Growth Opportunities within the companyResponsibilities:Work Order CoordinationSchedule and assign maintenance and construction work orders to in-house staff and subcontractorsCommunicate with vendors, contractors, tenants, and team membersTrack progress and follow up to ensure jobs are completed on timeKeep detailed records of open and completed work ordersAssist in the coordination of apartment turnovers and preventative maintenance schedulesAssist in doing final walk-through inspections in vacating apartmentsInspections & ComplianceSchedule and keep track of Borough / Municipal inspections and deadlinesSchedule required 3rd party inspections ( Sprinkler, Alarm, Fire Extinguisher ) and ensure properties remain compliantMaintain organized records of permits, inspection reports, and related documentsSchedule and complete Move-in / Move-out inspections for Tenant TurnoverCalendar & Project SupportManage the maintenance and construction calendarsCoordinate timelines between vendors, contractors, and internal staffAssist with keeping renovation and construction projects on scheduleParticipate as needed in shared on-call responsibilities (candidate preferred to live within 15 miles)Growth & Development• This role is responsible not only for maintaining current systems but also for developing new processes that make our maintenance and construction operations more effective and efficientQualifications:5+ years of experience in administrative coordination, dispatching, maintenance, or trades supervision, service logistics, property management, or construction operations is preferredExperience managing or coordinating service-related or maintenance teams ( 5+ personnel preferred)Clear, confident, and effective communicator (verbal and written)Highly organized with strong attention to detailStrategic thinker who anticipates challenges and implements solutionsStrong time-management skills and ability to balance multiple prioritiesSelf-starter who works effectively with minimal supervisionAbility to physically inspect job sites, climb stairs/ladders, and lift light loadsAbout Company:For over five decades, Zukin Realty has been proudly serving the West Chester community, offering high-quality student and non-student housing, commercial rentals, and real estate services.
