The General Manager will oversee daily operations, ensuring high-quality delivery of accounting, reporting, and advisory services to clients. This role will manage and support a distributed team, set performance expectations, and coordinate workflows to meet deadlines and service standards. The General Manager will collaborate with leadership on strategic planning, revenue growth, process improvements, and expansion of service offerings. Responsibilities also include managing client relationships, supporting business development initiatives, monitoring financial performance, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.Qualifications Strong background in accounting, finance, or related field, with the ability to interpret financial statements and management reports.Proven experience in operational leadership, including team management, workflow coordination, and process improvement.Experience in client-facing roles, with skills in relationship management, stakeholder communication, and expectation setting.Strategic planning and business development capabilities, including setting goals, monitoring KPIs, and supporting revenue growth.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts in clear, practical terms.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects remotely.Comfort with cloud-based tools, accounting software, and remote collaboration platforms.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related discipline; professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) is an advantage.Experience working with small and medium-sized businesses, ideally within the UK regulatory and tax environment.Demonstrated ability to work independently, make data-informed decisions, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
