In the role of Inspector, we'll count on you to:
Perform daily on-site inspections of construction activities to ensure adherence to plans, specifications, and safety standards.
Conduct and document construction observations for civil infrastructure projects, particularly those involving water and wastewater facilities, pump stations, and pipelines
Prepare and maintain daily construction inspection reports documenting work performed, observed issues, and contractor activities.
Participate in weekly project update meetings with Client and other team members
Working closely with Resident Engineer to review invoices and prepare change orders for accuracy and compliance.
Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents
Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses
Provide guidance to less-experienced field staff as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Engineering degree (Civil/Mechanical Engineering)
3 years of construction inspection experience, preferably with wastewater or utility infrastructure projects.
Relevant Industry Certifications
Ability to interpret construction schedules
Required Qualifications
Requires high school diploma or equivalent. (Candidates with 8 years of relevant construction inspection experience may substitute experience for a high school diploma)
A minimum of 3 years experience
Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
Proven problem-solving and documentation abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
