Cashier Nutrition Services (2025-2026)

Cashier Food ServiceReceives and disburses money by selling food to students and staff. Responsible for operating the cash register and maintaining the serving line. Works under general supervision according to some procedures; decides how and when to complete tasks.Job Responsibility 1: Receives payment by cash, vouchers, or automatic debits. Issues receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.Job Responsibility 2: Assists with preparation and packaging of food items; ensures food temperature and portion sizes are appropriate.Job Responsibility 3: Stocks and rotates food items displayed for sale on the serving line.Job Responsibility 4: Maintains clean and orderly checkout areas and complete other general cleaning duties, such as cleaning serving area and storing unused food items. Stocks shelves and marks prices.Job Responsibility 5: Answers customers' questions, and provides information on procedures or policies.Job Responsibility 6: Assists customers by providing information and resolving their complaints. Processes returns and exchanges.Job Responsibility 7: Identifies prices of goods and tabulates bills using cash registers or optical price scanners.Job Responsibility 8: Balances sales to monies received.
