Typically 8-10 hours per day.Work schedule may change based on business needs; must be flexible with work schedule.ResponsibilitiesInspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform preventative and as-needed maintenance of diesel trucks and electronic vehiclesProperly operate the mobile service truck and attend to truck inventoryInterpret and follow work orders and technical manualsTravel to locations to perform on-site diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance.Communicate effectively with management, providing them with detailed breakdowns of service requirements and costs.Maintain schedules and document completed preventative maintenance and repairsRepair or replace defective parts, components, or systemsTest repaired equipment for proper performance; ensure work meets manufacturer's specifications according to FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations)Maintaining parts and yard organization (with direction from operations management) to ensure a clean and safe working environment.RequirementsMust be a minimum of 21 years old.Minimum 2 years of previous technical experience with Class 6-8 Commercial Trucks, Tractors, and Trailers.Air Brake Systems Certification.Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot repairs using diagnostic systemsASE Certification is preferred.Knowledge of air, electronic, braking, and suspension systems as well as general mechanical operation and/or light body repairFamiliar with FHWA (Federal Highway Administration), and FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations), BIT (Basic Inspection of Terminals) inspectionsHigh School Diploma or GED (Preferred)Must be able to lift 70 poundsCandidate must provide his/her own tools.Valid driver's license may be required with no suspensions and/or revocations in connection with a moving violation within the past three (3) years. No CDL required.
