Electrical Engineer

OverviewA leading Medical equipment manufacturer is seeking an Electrical Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and improvement of electrical and electronic systems across new and existing products. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to support product innovation, manufacturing excellence, and customer satisfaction while ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.What You'll DoDesign, develop, and enhance electrical and electronic systems with a focus on reliability, efficiency, and cost-conscious engineeringEnsure designs align with regulatory, safety, and industry code requirementsCreate and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, diagrams, and manufacturing drawingsDevelop component specifications and support supplier selection and outsourcing effortsCollaborate with internal stakeholders to support R&D, production, and customer-facing technical needsDiagnose and resolve electrical issues across products and processesSupport product changes by generating and managing engineering change documentationIdentify and qualify alternative components for end-of-life or supply-constrained partsAssist with electrical testing methodologies and validation activitiesParticipate in value engineering and continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging Lean principles to reduce waste and improve process flowContribute to team-based problem solving and ongoing product optimization effortsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalentAbility to manage projects independently while collaborating within a team environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsSolid computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office toolsWorking knowledge of standard electrical test and measurement equipmentPreferred ExperienceHands-on experience with wiring, assembly, or prototypingExposure to third-party certification or compliance testingExperience with higher-level programming languages Board-level or full-system electrical design backgroundMechanical aptitude, including experience with sheet metal or electromechanical systems
