Travel RN - Med/Surg - IV Therapy

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an IV Therapy Vascular Access Team position in a fast-paced outpatient oncology clinic, requiring at least 1 year of vascular access experience and an active AZ or Compact RN license.Job Details• Fast-paced outpatient clinic setting focused on IV therapy and vascular access,• Works alongside a team of 4 other Port RNs with a caseload of 19+ patients per day,• Performs lab draws and utilizes Huber Needles for port access,• Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM,• 13-week contract,Job Requirements• Active AZ or Compact RN license required,• Current BLS certification required,• Minimum 1 year of vascular access experience required; 3 years preferred,• Proficiency with implanted vascular access devices (ports), PICCs, and midline catheters required,• Experience with phlebotomy, central line blood draws, and aseptic/sterile technique required,• Ability to perform insertion procedures, catheter removal, dressing changes, flushing, and patency assessment,• Familiarity with vascular access complications including CLABSI, extravasation, phlebitis, pneumothorax, and sepsis management required,• Proficiency in patient/family education, informed consent, and patient positioning,• Preferred experience with mastectomy patients, older adults, renal patients, and ultrasound-guided peripheral venous access,Additional Information• Approximately 80 hours of orientation provided,• Navy scrubs are required and are not provided by the facility,
