Company DescriptionDynamic Tutoring Solutions works one-on-one with students and families to help students reach their full potential. We address each situation with empathy and develop strong relationships with students and families. Each student receives an individualized learning plan developed collaboratively with parents, teachers, and specialists based on informal assessments. We use research-based, multi-sensory programs for reading, writing, and spelling, and cognitive process programs to address students' needs. Our goal is to equip students with the necessary tools to become successful and independent learners both in and beyond the classroom.Role DescriptionThis is a part-time role, primarily after school. Students are generally located between Winnetka and Lake Forest, IL. The Tutor will work one-one-one with students and be responsible for developing personalized strategies for managing executive function skills such as planning, organization, prioritization, task initiation, and self-monitoring. There are also opportunities for subject specific tutors supporting students with course work, homework, and test prep.The role involves working collaboratively with parents, teachers, and specialists to support student development. The Tutor will also be responsible for providing academic support in various subjects, fostering a positive learning environment, and monitoring student progress. Tutors must take on a minimum of six hours per week. QualificationsStrong knowledge in subject-specific areas such as Mathematics, Science, English, or Executive FunctioningExperience in developing individualized learning plans and conducting assessmentsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsEmpathy and patience when working with students and familiesAbility to work collaboratively with parents, teachers, and specialistsMaster's degree in Education, or a related fieldPrior tutoring or teaching experience required
