Plastics Utility Associate - 2nd Shift

Working in a safe and efficient manner.Essential Job Functions:Commitment to SafetyDemonstrates a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.Promotes a culture of safety within the organization by leading by example and encouraging others to prioritize safety.Promptly reports any safety incidents or near-misses to the appropriate personnel and contributes to the investigation process.Active participation in safety-related programs and initiatives is required as necessary. This includes involvement in the safety committee on a rotating schedule, as well as participation in Risk Assessments, Exposure Hunts, department inspections, and change management activities.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized department; Assist in Removing trash and clutter from the CFM LinesSweep designated areas as assigned.Keep the Resin/ Mezzanine area neat and free of clutter.Assist in the wrapping and moving of pallets;Complete barcoding and distribution documents including making paper labels.Ability to be trained to safely operate a powered pallet jack and a forklift.Perform basic data entry for quality control, Activplant, Oracle, 6S & cleaning sheets.Comply with standard operating procedures, control plans, safety, and environmental procedures.Comply with Quality Standard ISO/TS 16949, and Environmental Standard ISO 14001.And comply with BRC/IOP certification standardsMonitor and insure quality of work in process, semi-finished, and finished products in accordance with control plan specifications.Participate in 6S initiatives pertaining to departmental cleanliness, organization, and safety.Interface and cooperate with other departments, to include cross training, and secondary job certification.Perform other duties as assigned.Job Qualifications:Demonstrated ability to work within a team, and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.Ability to read, comprehend, follow, and recommend improvements to working instructions and procedures.Basic computer literacy.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to self pace learning including book, web-base and classroom participation.Desired:Demonstrated ability to be flexible in assigned tasks and duties.Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and manage time effectively.Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.Experience with operating a powered pallet jack and forklift.OUR COMMITMENT TO SAFETY AND EMPLOYEE WELL-BEINGFostering a culture where people thrive-safely, purposefully, and with opportunity.
