Assistant Electronic Security Technician

Rate of Pay:$20.00-25.00 per Hour ( Based on Experience & Qualifications)SIGN ON BONUS: $5000Full Time 32 – 40 hoursMONDAY – FRIDAY (Saturdays RARELY - only when business demands it)8:30am – 5:00pm (Daily hours may be scheduled according to business needs)We are a family owned and operated security integration business in Maine with over 25 years of experience providing our customers with custom electronic and physical security systems. We are looking for a skilled, experienced professional to add to our team who will be responsible for securing and servicing our financial, commercial, and residential customers.We have an immediate need for a full-time Assistant Electronic Security Technician who will provide on-site repair, maintenance, and installation services to our customers throughout the State of Maine, and parts of NH on occasion. As an Assistant Technician, you will perform installation and network integration of security equipment to include intrusion alarm systems, video surveillance, access control, remote transaction systems, and other physical security equipment. You will use your skills to provide outstanding customer service by ensuring the highest quality of workmanship, professional customer communication, and loyal confidentiality.Job Duties:Installation: Assist Senior Technicians with the installation of electronic security systems including intrusion alarm systems, cameras, camera servers, access control systems, and other security equipment.Maintenance: Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance on security systems to ensure they are functioning optimally.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, maintenance activities, and inventory of tools and equipment. Use company field service management software to capture job notes, signatures, and expenses. Digital Paperwork will be submitted in a timely fashion to the office for billing purposes.Training: Stay up to date with the latest advancements in security technology and participate in training programs as required.Client Interaction: Provide outstanding customer service, address client concerns, and educate clients on the use and maintenance of their security systems.Safety Protocols: Adhere to all company and industry safety standards and procedures.Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including construction consultants and client service representatives, to ensure client needs are met.Confidentiality is imperative and required.Preferred Qualifications:Prior educational experience in a certified electronics/electrical training program.High School and Community College students currently enrolled in an Electrical Technology program are encouraged to apply for this position. We will work around and support your education schedule.Electrician Helper’s License is necessary. If you currently do not hold an Electrician Helper’s license, Cayer Security will assist you in obtaining one. Must have Electrician Helper’s License within 8 weeks of being hired.Pursuit of Limited Low Energy Electrician’s License is preferred for future career advancement. All hours worked under Helper’s License will accrue towards Limited Low Energy or Journeyman’s Electrical License.Cayer Security will sponsor and support employees who show professional commitment in obtaining their Limited Low Energy Electrician’s License.Minimum Job Requirements:Must be able to communicate well both verbally and in writing.Familiarity with email, text messaging and computer systems.Experience with the use of hand, power, and pneumatic tools.Must be able to represent Cayer Security Services, Inc. in a professional manner, maintaining excellent customer service to fellow employees, our clients, vendors and community.Employee needs to be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with fellow employees as a member of the Cayer Security Services, Inc. team.Significant travel is required. Must have a clean driving record with no violations. Must have no criminal history.Candidates must agree to a full background check which will be completed as part of the interview process.This position requires working off ladders and lifts, sometimes at heights above 20 feet, and working in drive through canopies and attic spaces.This position requires lifting of 50lbs or more on a frequent basis.Cayer Security will provide either a company vehicle or travel allowance.Cayer Security will provide the necessary tools to perform the job.Employees must be substance free at all times.Company Environment and BenefitsOur professional team is supportive in working together to provide total customer satisfaction.
