JOB DESCRIPTION
Document, train, plan and execute activities concerned with quality control. Tests and inspects products at various stages of the production process, including First Articles, compiles and evaluates data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products. Must be able to cover other shifts as business needs dictate.
Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to
Product Release
Release products after reviewing job history data, confirming product specification acceptance criteria was met and within specification then release in ERP
Review and signoff on Certificate of Analysis
Product Inspections, Monitoring and Measurement
Audit production process for conformance to quality standards, set up sheets and product specifications and standards
Complete incoming inspection
Complete post-production testing (Cure Testing) per product specification requirements
Calibrate equipment, prepare samples and validate production data
Maintain retain sample storage
Manage testing supply inventory and place orders to keep up with production demands
Complete air particle testing
Nonconformance process
Issue NCs when product quality is suspect or nonconforming and for process deviations
Lead NC investigations to identify gaps/failures, and provide suggestions for improvements
Review and release product taken off hold ensuring no NC labeling is present
Continuous Improvement Support and Procedure/Process Development
Support customer complaint and CAPA investigations, completing testing and reviewing job history records investigations
Support Internal Audit program
Prepare graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for analysis
Assist developing and writing procedures and instructions as necessary
Completes periodic review of procedures, instructions
Training
Assist Quality team training programs
Provide new hire and ongoing training for Quality and production staff
Provide guidance and support to Quality Technician
Maintains a safe and clean work environment by following established procedures and work instructions
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Education & Skillsets:
3 to 5 years of experience in Quality Control function in manufacturing environment
Driver's license in good standing
Ability to use a computer; (e.g. manufacturing software, e-mail, Internet)
Proficiency in Microsoft EXCEL, WORD, and Outlook
Ability to follow documented procedures and standards and keep accurate records
Excellent time-management skills; ability to perform multi-tasks in a fast- paced environment
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions
Ability to read and interpret documents (e.g. safety rules, operating or procedure manuals
Ability to write reports and correspondence, maintain records, inventories or other logs
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to calculate figures and amounts; percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Ability to read a ruler and understand measurements in fractions and decimals
Ability to travel between facilities or to customers; maintain a good driving record
Ability to communicate effectively with workers, contractors, supervisors and leaders
Preferred Education & Skillsets:
High School Diploma or GED with some secondary education
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job the employee must:
Be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Be able to push or pull heavy objects up to 250 pounds
Be able to work 8 - 12 hours shifts to meet business needs
Perform repetitive tasks
Routinely stand, sit, hear, walk, and talk
Reach, climb, bend, kneel, crouch, twist and balance; sometimes in awkward or tight spaces
Have good close vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus
Meet Mativ certification requirements to operate Power Industrial Trucks
PPE Requirements: Employees are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment including;
Safety shoes (steel toe or composite toe)
Safety Glasses
Bump Caps
Protective Gloves; when performing certain tasks
Hearing Protection; when required
Other personal protective equipment as required for certain tasks
Work Environment: Conditions are that of a manufacturing environment.
Air Temperatures can range from cold to hot
Atmosphere may contain dust, fumes and odors
May include mechanical, electrical, chemical, explosive and radiation hazards

The starting rate for this role is $26.00 per hour
