Making advanced technology ubiquitous means building at scale, and that’s exactly what we’re doing at Mesh.Solder TechnicianAbout the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented Solder Technician to support high-volume manufacturing of optical transceivers. This role is responsible for precision soldering, rework, and assembly of sensitive electronic and optical components in a cleanroom environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring product reliability, quality, and throughput as we scale production.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform hand soldering and rework on PCBs and microelectronic components (SMT and through-hole)Assemble optical transceiver subcomponents, including fiber and connector interfacesInterpret assembly drawings, work instructions, and BOMsInspect solder joints under microscope to meet IPC standardsSupport prototype builds and NPI (new product introduction) as neededTroubleshoot and repair defective assemblies to improve yieldMaintain proper handling of ESD-sensitive and optical componentsFollow cleanroom protocols, including gowning and contamination controlRecord build data and defects for process tracking and continuous improvementCollaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize processesQualifications2+ years of precision soldering experience (electronics, telecom, or similar)Experience working under a microscope for fine-pitch componentsAbility to read and follow technical documentation and schematicsStrong attention to detail and steady hand skillsComfortable working in a cleanroom environmentExperience with hand rework of fine-pitch surface mount components (0201, 01005)Preferred QualificationsCertified under IPC 7711/7721, NASA, and other relevant workmanship standardsBGA rework station experienceBenefits401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceWork Location: In person
