Job Title: Usability Engineer Location: Orlando, FL Duration: Contract/Full Time Job Description: You have the opportunity to help us to advance healthcare by creating innovative solutions for healthcare providers as well as the patients. In healthcare, there are many opportunities and challenges to improve patients' lives by designing solutions for patients and the healthcare organizations that provide care to them You are responsible for Plan and execute the human-centered design process in alignment with project stakeholdersUnderstand and specify the context of the use through best-practice usability methodology Evaluate design concepts and prototypes with the involvement of representative users Analyze, document, and communicate insights from user feedback in a clear and effective way Collaborate with designers and engineers to improve designs in an iterative and incremental manner Focusing on the customer, collaborating, partnering, and co-creating with internal and external stakeholders, with clear and impactful communication and articulation of design decision making Contributing to effective teamwork, receiving guidance, and being a pro-active team player, offering a point of view You are a part of a dynamic team to deliver best-in-class experiences and solutions used by clinicians, patients, healthcare consumers, and healthcare administrators. You will be designing for the Philips Hospital Patient Monitoring business and a team of people composed of a program manager, product manager, clinicians, product and UX designers. To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience Bachelor's degree in Human Factors Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Design Research or related discipline, or equivalent professional training experience Experience with Usability standards and guidelines such as IEC 62366, FDA Guidance for Human-Factors and HE75 Experience with human-centered design methods, such as focus groups, interviews, contextual inquiries, usability evaluation, documentation, and reporting Demonstrable usability experience from relevant companies, agencies, institutions, or own consultancy Independently working on project activities with a good understanding of budget and time constraints, driving efficiency, and facilitating design quality reviews Working together with or consulting business stakeholders, actively managing relationships, challenging the status quo to drive innovation, and stepping up for the user Fluency in English Job Type: Contract Benefits: Employee discount Life insurance Referral program Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
