The chemist I will work in conformance with company policies and current Good Lab Practices (GLP), regulatory requirements and standards to meet quality and accuracy requirements. Individuals will perform procedures for process / analysis, and assist their manager and peers with routine and non-routine Quality Control and Research procedures.A Day in the LifeComplies with all quality system requirementsPerforms preparation, collection, measurement and recordkeeping of samplesDocuments test and data analysis resultsParticipates on cross-functional teams for continuous improvement activitiesCommunicates with team members to ensure schedule requirements are metApplies knowledge of performed tasks to elucidate test method failuresAnalyzes and deduces data and collates test resultsCommunicates priority and timeliness for completion of customer requestsHelps drive the team to meet business goalsSupports development area as needed / commercial QC releaseLearns and understands the manufacturing organization that the lab supportsMinimum requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology or related technical discipline with a 0 years of laboratory experience. The employee must be able to stand/sit/walk up to 8 hrs/day, perform experiments at bench height, perform light lifting / bending or stretching to support test apparatus setup or teardown, and use computer and phones to participate in meetings.Nice to have:General wet chemistry laboratory techniques and/or experience with liquid chromatography (UPLC/HPLC), gas chromatography (GC), dissolution (Apparatus 2, Apparatus 7), Karl Fischer, and FT-IR, UV-Vis. Experience with chromatography software (Empower). Microsoft Word and Excel skills. The ability to work in a laboratory with solvents and pharmaceutical substances. Solid technical ability, experience with equipment set up, and troubleshooting skills.
