This position will be based in our New York City office (hybrid). In this role, you will participate in all aspects of the product development life cycle from design to delivery. You will be responsible for implementing high performance software applications that provide outstanding user experience and are written using the latest technologies.Meets with team members and end-users to establish software requirementsPrepares analyses of processes and requirementsConsults with team members regarding design and implementation of applicationsCreates databases and application interfaces based on analysis of requirements within established guidelinesWrites high performance code using established coding standardsImplements security access on applicationsDevelops unit tests to test code implementationDevelops application testing plans and assist with the testing process, including contention with existing desktop applicationsProvides guidance, direction and mentorship to other Software Engineers in the design and implementation of their applicationsAssists in the training of all new Software EngineersReviews code of other Software Engineers to ensure that coding standards and procedures are followed and implemented in the most efficient mannerHelps identify areas where the group can improve its processes, efficiency and quality.Instructs Legal Technology Trainers in use and training of the softwareAssists with integration strategies between applicationsResearches latest technology trendsPerforms other related duties as assignedQualificationsExperience in developing applications using C#, .Net, WPF, ASP.NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, and AngularAbility to design SQL database objects for SQL Server including tables, indexes, constraints, stored procedures, and viewsKnowledge of building and maintaining CI/CD pipeline solutionsExperience with development of RESTful APIsExcellent verbal and communication skillsStrong problem-solving abilities and an aptitude for learning new technologiesExcellent analytical and trouble shooting skillsAbility to deal courteously/effectively with othersAbility to handle confidential/sensitive mattersAbility to handle multiple assignments and shifting prioritiesAbility to work well under pressureDetail orientedKnowledge of Firm operation, policies, and proceduresFlexibility to adjust hours to meet operating needsEducation And ExperienceBachelor's degree in computer scienceMinimum of 10 (Ten) years of software development work experienceCulture & Life at SkaddenWhat makes Skadden special is our people and the culture, community and spirit of collaboration we have created.
