Network Dev Engineer II

Responsibilities Responsible for protocol inter‐networking and architecture of our cloud computing platform. Configure and troubleshoot network traffic engineering using BGP/OSPF and large‐scale network operations and maintenance procedures. Analyze networks and troubleshoot network bugs to successfully mitigate large‐scale issues. Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers, and upgrade software on them. Conceptualize scalable network solutions, write acceptance and design documentation while implementing on a reduced time scale. Mentor junior engineers. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field and one year of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related occupation. Employer will accept three years of experience in the job offered or related occupation as equivalent to the Bachelor's degree and one year of experience. Must have one year of experience in the following skills: IP networking fundamentals and application of IP protocols; use of protocols and technologies, including VLANs/STP, IPv4 & IPv6, TCP (internals & flow control), BGP, OSPF, HSRP/GLBP, PIMv2, IGMP, LDP, TACACS, VPNs, MPLS, DNS, and HTTP; experience with either Python or PERL scripting; and documenting and coordinating the deployment of manual and automated tests for complex systems. Compensation 40 hours/week, 8:00am-5:00pm. Salary range $138,986 - $184,000. Sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
