POSITION: CanvasserPOSITION TYPE:Full-time or Part-timeLOCATION:Fairfax, VADESCRIPTION:New Virginia Majority (NVM) is Virginia's leading civic engagement organization that mobilizes and organizes people of all colors and backgrounds across the state. Our year-round approach to organizing involves mass scale voter outreach, linked to ongoing community organizing campaigns, intensive leadership development, and advocacy. NVM is currently expanding its team. We are seeking conscious and skilled individuals with a deep commitment to social change.NVM is hiring organizers for its 2026 voter outreach program (C4). Organizers will have the opportunity to work as a part of a state-wide team raising awareness about the April 21st ballot referendum on redistricting, and providing voters with the most up to date voting information. Positions are available in Northern Virginia, Richmond, and Hampton Roads.Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:Direct voter conversations with voters at doorsEnsuring accurate and complete data is submitted Assisting Regional Field Director in meeting program goals as assignedRequired Skills:Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressureWillingness to learn new technological tools and troubleshoot technical issuesAbility to communicate across lines of differenceSelf motivated, organized and able to work independentlyAbility to work long, irregular hoursAlignment with NVM's ideology and goalsCOMPENSATION:This is a seasonal position with both part time and full time positions.
