This role involves managing project quality, timeliness, and safety, mentoring the project team, and developing strong customer relationships through excellent service and communication skills.ResponsibilitiesManage overall financial health of projectsSupport and lead EPC contract negotiations, including technical exhibits and project schedulesLead vendor procurement and bid/award phase for major subs and suppliersDevelop and maintain project financial and equipment projectionsAllocate project estimate into financial system, determine cost codes, approve invoicesProvide financials and billings to accounting, create monthly owner billingsManage subcontracts and suppliers, oversee budget and selections of trade partnersHandle billings, contract management, and change ordersManage and develop Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, approve timecards, provide feedbackQualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experienceMinimum six years of related previous experienceProven ability to assist with all responsibilities for complex projectsDetail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasksPossess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practicesPreference for candidates with experience in one or more of the following: commercial construction, renewable energy project development, EPC contracting, or emerging technologies.Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate levelProven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skillsAbility to interpret and communicate Mortenson policiesCurrent driver's licenseA few benefits offered include:Medical and prescription drug plans that includes no additional cost vision coverageDental plan401k retirement plan with a generous Mortenson matchPaid time off, holidays, and other paid leavesEmployer paid Life, AD&D, and disability insuranceNo-Cost mental health tool and concierge with extensive work-life resourcesTuition reimbursementAdoption AssistanceGym Membership Discount ProgramThe base pay range for this role is $113,500 MIN - $170,300 MAX. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR 10%, Washington, D.C. 12.5%).Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
