The hourly pay range for this position is $16.50 - $17.00 .Key PurposeThe Painter works directly with the Facilities Manager and Facility Operations Manager to ensure all facilities, and all related equipment are maintained to highest standards. They are expected to build and foster a culture of teamwork. Key AccountabilitiesSupport maintenance team in completing punch-list itemsUse proper personal protective equipmentPresent a professional appearance and conductUnderstand customer service and satisfactionThis position is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing general building equipment and systems with an emphasis on the painting and maintenance of walls, ceilings, and trim. Inspects equipment for proper function and performs preventative maintenance duties per manufacturers' specifications. Diagnose equipment malfunctions and make repairs or adjustments as neededThe successful applicant for the Building Maintenance Painter position shall be responsible for providing repairs and preventive maintenance services at our customer's manufacturing plant on systems including but not limited to:Building floors, walls, ceilings, and roofsDoor and lock hardwareRestroom fixturesWood, glass, metal, sheetrock, vinyl, and tile surfacesThey will be knowledgeable in reading blueprints/instructions and examining surfaces to determine the kind and amount of necessary workThey will be capable of making on-site preparations such as erecting scaffolding and covering fixturesThey will be able to prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint, etc.They will investigate noise complaints and perform the appropriate actions to make correctionsThey will make temporary and permanent repairs to mitigate slip, trip, and fall hazardsThey will be able to read and interpret equipment and system operations, maintenance, and specification product manualsThey shall manage daily repair calls on multiple projects using the computerized work order systemThey will assist customers with questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to stand for long periods of time, walk, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch/crawl and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 poundsSpecific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focusMust be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periodsWhile performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, unsafe places; fumes/airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock and vibrationOccasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditionsThe noise level in the work environment is frequently loudHSEQ Compliance: All employees must adhere to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
