Project Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a – “Project Lead/Project Engineer” for a Contract position with a client located in Carson, CA.Pay Range: $38 - $42/hr. (The rate/salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.).What You’ll DoParticipate to the project team. This involves circulating bottom-up and top-down information about the project and formally defining, in conjunction with project team members’ line managers, the availability of the requisite skills and resources.Support project team on coordinating and facilitating input for milestones completion, including production follow-up.Provide input for the project reference system (document reference system, approval records, configuration reports, etc.) in accordance with regulatory requirements.Follow up the project schedule and updates of management indicators (KPIs) for his/her perimeterWork closely with more experienced Project Engineers to leverage implementation and application of all project management methods in accordance with regulations and standards: weekly management meetings, KPIs, dashboards, reports, etc.As part of the process, provide input for technical choices in conjunction with the technical teams and relevant business linesIdentify risks and opportunities, propose mitigations and solutionsIf necessary provide input to task forces to resolve development sticking points and/or contingenciesProvide input to project reviews (technical, production engineering, and support) to prepare program milestone reviews.Perform all other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent, in Engineering or related fieldExperience:Minimum 3 year related experience in aerospace or engineering project management.Computer Skills:Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CAD & PLM SystemsBasic knowledge of Project management toolsEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledBenefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, an EAP program, commuter benefits, and a 401K plan.
