Associate Director, Training
The Associate Director, Training position will have a focus on developing and deploying the training for the Pharmaceutical Sales Team to master their selling skills, be technical product experts and to help the team meet their sales objectives. In this role you will be responsible for working with a cross-functional team in Sales, Marketing, MARS and compliance to drive executional efforts against our key sales and marketing strategy in order to drive results. You will also plan, develop, and provide training and development programs using knowledge of effective delivery methods such as classroom training, workshops, on-the-job training, conferences, medical congress booth training, speaking events, virtual sales interactions and on-demand training.Major AccountabilitiesDeploy a consultative approach to selling pharmaceutical products that will increase demand and drive share growth in ECP officesContinuously train personnel on the science and technology of Alcon pharmaceutical products, disease states and competitive landscape.Develop content and execute onboarding training courses for newly hired personnelMonitor and evaluate training program's effectiveness, success and ROIDevelop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.Keep up-to-date technically and apply new knowledge to your job.Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practicesWork with internal partners to make necessary revisions to existing training courses and develop new training programs as neededTravel in the field to observe and coach on sales effectiveness as well as implementation of training initiativesField test and validate current and future training programsDevelop and train DMs how to effectively coach Sales Specialists to have high impact in the field with target accountsCommunicate with and provide overview of training to Senior Leadership for feedback and alignmentMinimum RequirementsBachelor's Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school+15yrs; Assoc.+14yrs; M.S.+7yrs; PhD+6yrs)The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English7 Years of Relevant ExperiencePreferred Experience:3-4 years frontline sales leadership (preferred)Strong planning and analytical skillsProven ability to develop, motivate and inspire peopleSales training backgroundOtherTravel requirements: As needed for training and field rides up to 50% of the timeAlcon is an Equal Opportunity Employer and participates in E-Verify.
