Role Description Maryvale Preparatory School is seeking an Upper School Spanish Teacher for a full-time, on-site position in Lutherville, Maryland. The teacher will develop and deliver engaging lesson plans in Spanish language and culture, assess student performance, and provide constructive feedback. Responsibilities include fostering a dynamic classroom environment, collaborating with colleagues, participating in the school community, and incorporating technology and innovative teaching methods into the curriculum to enrich the learning experience. Qualifications Proficiency in Spanish language and culture, with teaching competency across a range of levelsStrong lesson planning, classroom management, and student assessment skillsAbility to integrate modern technology and innovative instructional practices into teachingExcellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with colleagues, students, and parentsCommitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for diverse learnersBachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field; Native Speaker; advanced degrees or certifications in language education are a plusPrior teaching experience, preferably in an independent school setting, is highly desirablePassion for education and alignment with Maryvale’s mission and values
