Senior Networking Software Engineer – Data Path / Packet ForwardingPosition: Senior Networking Software EngineerExperience: 10+ YearsLocation: Bay Area, USAWork Mode: Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite / WeekDuration: Long-TermAvailability: Immediate Joiners PreferredJob OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Senior Networking Software Engineer with deep expertise in Data Path, Packet Forwarding, Networking ASICs, and Linux networking systems.Strong hands-on experience with Marvell chipsets is a key priority. Experience with Broadcom ASICs and related hardware programming interfaces is highly desirable.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop high-performance data path and packet-forwarding solutions for L2/L3 networking.Work on IPv4, IPv6, MPLS, SR/SRv6, VRF, L3VPN, STP, LLDP, sFlow, LAG and MLAG.Design and implement QoS features including queueing, classification, policing, shaping, ACL, ECN and WRED.Work with networking ASIC architectures, including Marvell, Broadcom BCM XGS and BF Tofino families.Develop and optimize software using BCM SDK, P4 and DPDK.Enhance Linux networking internals, including network stack, memory management and kernel networking.Develop and maintain RIB, FIB and HAL components.Implement High Availability (HA), ISSU and resilient networking solutions.Work on Debian packaging, Linux kernel modifications and networking stack optimization.Develop networking solutions for containerized and virtualized environments.Mandatory Skills10+ years of hands-on Networking Software Development experience.Strong Data Path / Packet Forwarding expertise.Hands-on experience with Marvell networking chipsets – highly preferred/priority.Experience with Broadcom ASICs or equivalent networking hardware.Strong knowledge of ASIC pipeline architecture and networking hardware.Strong Linux OS internals and Linux Kernel Networking experience.Hands-on experience with RIB, FIB and HAL.Strong programming skills in C/C++; Go/Python experience is a plus.Experience with HA / ISSU and high-performance networking.Strong debugging, troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.Preferred SkillsDPDK, P4, BCM SDK or similar hardware programming interfaces.Docker / Kubernetes and virtual networking.Debian build and packaging.Distributed and high-performance networking systems.Experience with Linux kernel modifications.EducationBS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.📩 Interested candidates: Send your updated resume to priyanka.jadhav@philodesigntech.com📱 WhatsApp: +91 92848 05350
