Saint Peter Public Schools North ElementaryPosition Duration: 2-Year Assignment (20262027 and 20272028 School Years)Start Date: August 2026Reports To: North Elementary PrincipalPay Range: $50,143 $94,650 annually, per the teacher's contractPosition OverviewNorth Elementary is seeking a collaborative and student-centered educator to serve as Dean of Students (Teacher on Special Assignment). This role provides leadership support to the building principal during the 20262027 and 20272028 school years and helps strengthen building systems that support student success, safety, and school operations. The Dean of Students will assist in the supervision and management of school programs, student behavior systems, and daily operations.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the principal in supervising school programs related to student achievement, student welfare and safety, attendance, and overall school progress.Support general building operations, supervision, and management, including student supervision, student discipline, drill schedules, and bus safety organization.Assist in the planning, development, and implementation of PBIS and MTSS systems.Attend and support IEP, 504, and Student Assistance Team meetings.Review and complete documentation in compliance with federal and state requirements and district policies and procedures.Attend staff meetings and in-service training sessions.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsCurrent teaching license issued by the Minnesota Department of Education.Knowledge of the elementary learner and curriculum in grades 24.Knowledge of PBIS and the MTSS process.Understanding of the professional code of ethics.Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.Application ProcessInternal candidates should submit a letter or email of interest by April 24, 2026 to:Darin Doherty, PrincipalNorth Elementary School
