FB: @berrienresa LinkedIn: Berrien RESA Insta: @berrienresa Web: www.berrienresa.org Job Description What You Will Do:Collaborate with Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) staff and utilize a variety of research-based intervention strategies, continually assessing student response and making modifications to ensure success.The understanding of the implementation of the Great Start Readiness Program Implementation Manual, which includes the key elements of high-quality early childhood learning environments for preschool.Support staff in developing, monitoring, adjusting, and documenting the effectiveness of behavior support plan implementation.Coach GSRP staff on classroom management and behavior support plan strategies, including data collection methods and analysis.Provide expert recommendations on instructional methods, materials, teaching aids, and related equipment specifically for students with disabilities.Collaborate with GSRP staff regarding various methods for the inclusion of students with disabilities in the general education environment.Manage and instruct students on appropriate behavior using positive behavior support strategies consistent with Board policy and procedures.Maintain effective communication and professional relationships with students, parents, administrators, school personnel, and agency representatives.Act as a case coordinator by preparing for, participating in, and ensuring IEP implementation according to the school process.Align student goals and objectives with district and state standards.Develop a schedule to maximize instructional time and create lesson plans that reflect individual student goals.Maintain accurate and timely records, including collecting and recording data relative to student performance on individual goals and objectives.Conduct required formal and informal evaluations to measure students' progress.Assist students in meeting self-help, health, and behavior needs, including toileting and personal care.Provide home-based activities for families when appropriate.Evaluate and order instructional materials needed to provide quality programming.Utilize a variety of technology applications related to both classroom management and the instructional process.Effectively participate in meetings, committees, staffing, and other required district and building activities.Maintain regular and predictable attendance.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Works under the general supervision of the Supervisor of Ancillary/Health Services.
