Assist Science Plus Instructor

Our Human Resources Team at the Greenville County School District is dedicated to advancing student achievement by recruiting and employing the highest qualified staff for our schools and to serve those with whom we work.Job Title: Science PLUS Assistant Instructor, Roper Mountain Science CenterJob Summary: The assistant instructor will work with the lead instructor of specific Science PLUS course(s). This position reports to the Science PLUS Coordinator and the Assistant Coordinator. More information about the Science PLUS Institute can be found at https://www.ropermountain.org/educators.asp?titleid=scienceplus Salary: $625 for a 2-day course; $1250 for a 4-day course (this is divided into an hourly pay stipend)Duties:Work with the lead instructor to develop a course plan for activities and materials.Work with the lead instructor to divide instructional duties for the course. Ideally, the two instructors will take a team approach to teaching the class.Work with the lead instructor on which materials should be purchased for the course.Work with the lead instructor to set up for Institute sessions and clean up after the course is over.Notes:Lunch will be provided at no cost on the days you assist.Class locations often are in areas where exposure to animal dander, mold, or other allergens is likely.
