Technical Sales Engineer

Dedicated to highest precision motion control, SmarAct develops piezo-based high performance micro- and nanopositioners, advanced control systems, laser interferometers and microtools for cutting-edge research and high-tech industries.To cope with the increasing demand in the US market, SmarAct Inc. is in need of a tech savvy Sales Engineer to work closely together with our team in Berkeley, CA.ResponsibilitiesGrow SmarAct Inc.'s business in North America through acquiring new customers and intensifying business relations with existing customers and with existing and new productsSelling our high-tech products to our customers in various industries (semiconductors, photonics, solid-state technology, metrology, basic research, etc.)Providing professional technical advice to our customers and proposing solutions to their challengesCommunication and coordination of customer requirements to the production site in Germany and monitoring of the production statusSupporting customers in the implementation of the productsDemonstrating our products during customer visits and at trade shows, conferences and other eventsEnhance our products and business by contributing own product improvement suggestionsProviding administrative support as needed (updating customer/supplier list, reporting, etc.)RequirementsBachelor's degree, Master's degree or PhD in physics, engineering science and ideally several years of relevant experience in industryExperience with scientific instrumentation and/or high-tech productsAbility to quickly establish relationships with potential customersStrong solution selling skillsKeen perception, team player and willingness to work in an entrepreneurial and results-oriented cultureExcellent organizational and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills in written and spoken EnglishWe offerExciting work environment with technically sophisticated productsReliable training in the required technical fieldsGood development opportunities in a growing companyFriendly and open-minded team with high motivation and a lot of know howThe opportunity to get involved and realize your own ideasJ-18808-Ljbffr
