Technical Infrastructure Program Manager- Material Development, GCID-FD
Overview
In this role you will drive the material development lifecycle for AWS GCID, coordinating vendor development, field trials, and program tracking to enable rapid, gate-driven deployment of fiber materials. You will work across product development, supply chain, and field engineering to solve deployment challenges of next-gen fabric architectures. You’ll lead cross-functional efforts to align material introductions with regional timelines and contribute to IP considerations, documentation, and scalable processes.

ResponsibilitiesTrack materials through lifecycle and clear gates on scheduleCoordinate vendor development timelines with R&D partners and document milestonesPlan and manage field trials: test plans, logistics, lab scheduling, and post-test reportsSupport RFQ processes, monitor vendor build progress, initiate initial validationCreate standardized templates, runbooks, rubrics, and maintain document librariesFacilitate cross-functional alignment across procurement, standards, QA, fiber engineering, and deployment teamsFlag novel solutions for IP considerations and support filingsPrepare monthly program updates for senior leadership and coordinate stakeholder communications
