LocationHome-based or Hybrid, CanadaPosition SummaryThe successful candidate will have proven experience and a successful track record acting as a project manager for medium-to-large projects. The Project Manager will work directly with a Cohesive Program Manager, project team and client PMO to support project schedule, budget and issue management. The Project Manager will be responsible for developing associated deliverables for the project schedule, project logistics, weekly status reporting, budget updates and scope tracking. This position reports to the Cohesive Manager, Services.ResponsibilitiesThe Project Manager performs a wide range of duties including some or all the following:Plan the ProjectDefine the scope of the project in collaboration with senior managementCreate a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the projectDetermine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete the projectDevelop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activitiesReview the project schedule with senior management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as requiredDetermine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completionStaff the ProjectIn consultation with the appropriate manager, recruit, interview and select staff and/or volunteers with appropriate skills for the project activitiesManage project staff per the established policies and practices of the organizationEnsure that personnel files are properly maintained and kept confidentialEnsure that all project personnel receive an appropriate orientation to the organization and the projectContract qualified consultants to work on the project as neededImplement the ProjectExecute the project per the project planDevelop forms and records to document project activitiesSet up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and securedMonitor the progress of the project and adjust as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the projectEstablish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the projectReview the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standardsControl the ProjectWrite reports on the project for management and for fundersCommunicate with funders as outlined in funding agreementsMonitor and approve all budgeted project expendituresMonitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to senior management on a regular basis (monthly/bimonthly)Manage all project funds per the established accounting policies and proceduresEnsure that all financial records for the project are up to datePrepare financial reports and supporting documentation for funders as outlined in funding agreementsEvaluate the ProjectEnsure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of qualityEvaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phaseQualificationsBachelor's degree in business or a technical discipline, or equivalent training and experience.Five (5) years of project management experience.Experience managing multiple medium to large sized projects is desired.A working knowledge of Maximo is preferred.Excellent written and oral communication skills.OtherThis is a full-time role expected to work 40 hours per week, hybrid or home-based in Canada.Required sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements).
