Paralegal (Government Contract - Onsite)

Intelligence Federal is a fast-growing federal contracting company seeking a Paralegal to support a federal government agency. This is an integral role that works actively with experienced government attorneys to further the agency's mission. Applicants will be considered for positions on several contracts agencies including the Department of Education, FEMA, Department of Justice, Office of Military Commissions, and other contracts. We have several openings and options will be discussed if and when we schedule a phone interview.Location: Onsite in Washington DCThis is a full time position and eligible for benefits through Intelligence Federal. Our company was voted one of the Best Places to Work in Washington, DC by the Washington Business Journal.Job Duties, Including But Not Limited ToWork closely with lawyers, staff, and stakeholders to screen files for completeness, proper jurisdiction, and other elementsPerform substantive and procedural legal work to support attorneys and staffAssist attorneys and investigators in preparing for hearings, legal discussions briefings, and meetings on various legal mattersConduct and assist in factual and legal research for each investigationDraft legal documents such as correspondence, complaints, and legal briefsSchedule interviews, hearings, witnesses, depositions, and other related discussionsInvestigate claims or potential cases. Review facts and interview witnessesDocket new appeals in the electronic case filing system and/or e-filing systemSECURITY CLEARANCE LEVELMust be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust or higher level clearance. Preference will be given to those who already have Public Trust or higher level government experience. Must be authorized to work in the USQualifications & Requirements & Selection CriteriaMust be willing to commute to the DC office as requiredBachelor's Degree required2 years of relevant paralegal experienceAbility to conduct factual and legal researchKnowledge of Paralegal Methods, Practices and ProceduresProficient in litigation discovery software and MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Adobe PDFExperience with Case Management SoftwareExcellent written and oral communication skillsJohn J.
