Position Description:Dominion Engineering, Inc. (Dominion), an Allied Power company is seeking an engineer with 0 to 10 years of experience and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering (or theoretical and applied mechanics, or engineering physics with mechanical focus, or nuclear engineering), including those graduating by August 2026. The candidate will be responsible for performing engineering and technical tasks applying a range of engineering analyses, under general supervision, primarily in support of consulting projects within the nuclear power industry. This position is an opportunity to develop your expertise and grow your career as an engineering professional and technical leader within the nuclear industry.A primary area of expertise at Dominion is providing solutions and research for aging management of nuclear power plant components and materials. This position will focus on supporting engineering evaluations and research to support the industry through modeling and simulation activities, providing engineering consulting support, and may provide support to other emergent Dominion projects. Additionally, this position will involve the performance and verification of mechanical and thermal analyses supporting the development and deployment of Dominion products within the industry. Analysis areas include stress analysis, fracture mechanics, finite element analysis, modeling/simulation of degrading materials, probabilistic modeling, thermal hydraulics, and numerical analysis of other physical systems and phenomena.
