And at the center of the community is River Park Square, a Cowles Real Estate property, and downtown Spokane's premier shopping, dining, and entertainment destination.Position Title: Public Safety OfficerStatus: Full-timeSalary: $20-21 (includes $1/hr shift differential for overnights)Hours: 7am - 3pm, 3pm - 11pm, 11pm - 7amOther: Free parking, company-paid uniformsAbout this role:The Public Safety Officer serves to assist patrons and employees of River Park Square, the West 809, and 600 buildings by enforcing safety policies, patrolling assigned areas, monitoring CCTV, and ensuring a safe environment for all.**This position is classified as a safety-sensitive position & will require a drug screening.**What you'll do:Patrol (on foot) RPS, RPS garage, West 809 and 600 buildings (common areas, back hallways, stairwells, roof areas, patrol perimeters)Assist patrons and mall employees in emergency and non-emergency situationsEnforce safety policies for patrons and mall employeesMaintain daily activity blottersMonitor CCTV using exacqVision softwareOperate trash and cardboard compactorsUse two-way radioAnswer phonesCommunicate effectively with the publicDeliver mail to The Spokesman-ReviewLock and unlock building accessTurn on / off escalatorsMaintain a professional attitude in tense or hostile situationsMaintain a professional appearanceUse appropriate form to document incidentsOther duties as assignedIrregular intervals:Fire watchOpening and closing RPS garageOccasional maintenance dutiesOccasional housekeeping dutiesAssist in setting up and tearing down special events equipmentWhat you'll contribute to our team:High customer relation skills are required.
