The successful candidate will analyze end-to-end material flow to identify constraints, lead workspace and station improvements, and drive complex quality and process issues to measurable closure - ensuring receiving operations meet production rate demands efficiently and at the required quality standard.Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Key job responsibilitiesDevelop and implement metrics and reporting mechanisms that provide operational visibility and guide team decision-making for PCBA and General receiving inspectionSupport the mapping and analysis of receiving process flows to identify constraints, eliminate waste, and optimize throughput across inspection operationsLead technical deep dives to resolve receiving blockers related to documentation, test requirements, and process gaps (driving issues to measurable closure)Lead receiving workspace and station layout improvements to enhance flow, capacity, and inspector efficiencyDevelop and maintain quality performance dashboards and reporting systems that track capacity, quality yield, and receipt rates against production targetsApply quality engineering principles to validate inspection methods, reduce variation, and ensure receiving processes meet Leo production rate requirementsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to align receiving execution with manufacturing priorities and identify emerging risksImplement and maintain control mechanisms to sustain improvements and measure their effectiveness over timeA day in the lifeAs a Quality Program Engineer at Leo focusing on Receiving Quality, you'll be responsible for building the metrics, process visibility, and workflow improvements that enable efficient and high-quality receiving inspection operations. Your day begins with reviewing incoming inspection performance data, identifying bottlenecks across PCBA and General receiving, and assessing progress on open quality and process issues.Throughout the day, you'll:Analyze receiving inspection data to identify trends, constraints, and opportunities for flow improvementDevelop and refine metrics and dashboards that give the team clear visibility into capacity, quality yield, and throughput performanceLead workspace and station layout improvements to optimize inspector efficiency and material flowDrive technical deep dives into process blockers related to documentation, test requirements, and inspection methods (tracking issues to measurable closure)Coordinate with Quality Engineering and cross-functional partners to align on incoming material priorities and resolve non-conformancesApply quality engineering principles to validate inspection procedures and reduce process variationYou'll participate in technical reviews with engineering teams to evaluate inspection findings, support capacity planning, and present performance metrics to leadership.Regular responsibilities include maintaining reporting systems that guide team decision-making, supporting Business Reviews with receiving quality data, and implementing control mechanisms that sustain improvements over time.This role requires a blend of analytical rigor and hands-on manufacturing floor presence. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
