The Senior Accountant I will primarily be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the company’s accounting records by analyzing, recording and reconciling transactions in the general ledger. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys managing details, improving systems and processes, and analyzing information to surface actionable insights for the business. The position reports to the VP, Corporate Controller.PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain general ledger to include the preparation of journal entries, coding of invoices, accounts analysis and reconciliation, closing books monthly and yearly, balance sheet and income statement reconciliations, and setting up new accountsComplete accounting tasks (including bank entries, journal entries, intercompany transactions and reconciliation, accounts receivable, accounts payable) in a timely and accurate manner.Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts such as Cash, Accounts Receivable, Prepaid, Fixed Assets, Inventory, Accounts Payable, Accruals and other Balance Sheet accounts to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and account balances are accurately stated in accordance with Company policyReconcile general ledger and sub ledger accounts to source data and systems to ensure all transactions have been accurately recordedAssist with providing documentation for audit as neededAssist in preparation of monthly financial reports to include preparation of monthly balance sheet and income statementPerform any other tasks assigned as neededRequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business program preferred but not required5+ years (recent) experience in a corporate roleAttention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills requiredResourceful with strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills and the ability to work with all organizational levelsMust be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high volume, and deadline-oriented environmentProficient in MS Office SuiteMicrosoft Dynamics GP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Certify, and AvidXchange experience preferred but not requiredWHAT WE BELIEVEWe succeed when our clients succeed.
