This position also ensures the kitchen is maintained and is a clean, safe and sanitary facility.Schedule: We are currently seeking full-time availability to include both evenings and weekends!Essential FunctionsSorts and rinses dirty dishes, glasses, tableware and other cooking utensils and places them in racks to send through dishwasherSorts and stacks clean dishesCarries clean dishes to cook's line and other proper storage areasTests dishwasher sanitizing levels and adjusts standards based on testing resultsWashes pots, pans and trays by handRemoves trash and garbage and transports to the dumpsterSets up or breaks down dishwashing areaCleans and rolls/unrolls matsFills/empties soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutionsSweeps/mops floorsAssembles/disassembles dish machineWipes up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dryNotifies manager any time dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperaturesDoes not touch dirty dishes before touching clean dishes without washing hands firstCompletes other tasks and duties as assigned based on business needs Experience and SkillsMinimum RequirementsPrevious experience working within a kitchen environmentAbility to communicate effectively and follow directions in a multi-lingual environmentA passion for the mission, vision, and values of Sherman AssociatesSchedule may vary due to the specific needs of the hotelAbility to read and comprehend labels on chemicals Job BenefitsBenefitsSherman Associates strives to lead the market in the benefits we offer.
