Electrical Project Engineer

Title: Electrical Project CoordinatorCompany: Global Power Components – www.globalpowercomponents.com Location: Milwaukee, WI (onsite 5-days/week)Hire Type: Direct HireOverview:Global Power Components is expanding and we’re looking for a hands-on electrical professional who thrives at the intersection of engineering, production, and problem-solving. This role is perfect for someone with real-world electrical experience – whether from construction, industrial wiring, panel building, or field service – who also enjoys working with drawings, coordinating materials, and keeping projects moving. You’ll be the bridge between our Electrical Engineering team and our Electrical Assembly team on the production floor, ensuring that every eHouse we build is assembled accurately, efficiently, and with the right materials on hand. If you like being on your feet, solving problems in real time, and working closely with both engineers and assemblers, this could be the job for you.Responsibilities:Review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings before assembly beginsIdentify required materials, components, and hardware; communicate needs to purchasing. Track incoming materials and ensure they reach the correct project and facility Work directly with electrical engineers to resolve technical questions or drawing issuesSupport assemblers on the production floor by answering questions and clarifying design intentMonitor active builds, identify roadblocks, and help keep production on scheduleProcess change requests quickly and accurately during assemblyDocument drawing discrepancies and collaborate with engineering to improve future designsAssist the Electrical Assembly Supervisor with daily coordination and workflow needs Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED required; technical college or related degree preferred3+ years’ experience in electrical construction, industrial wiring, panel building, or related fieldStrong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawingsComfortable working on your feet around 70% of the day in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Able to lift 50lbs and move between multiple GPC facilities as needed (valid driver’s license required)Excellent communication skills; able to work with engineers, assemblers, and supervisorsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExperience with generators, switchgear, or industrial enclosures is a plus (not required)Why This Role Matters:Every enclosure we build houses critical electrical systems for hospitals, data centers, utilities, and industrial facilities.
