Senior Mechanical/Electrical Engineer - Vehicle Design (Creo / Heavy Equipment)

Job Description Location: Oshkosh (Onsite with flexibility)Type: Contract (6 months) Strong Contract-to-Hire PotentialSchedule: Day Shift (Standard Business Hours)Work Authorization: U.S. Citizenship RequiredWhy This Role Stands OutWork on heavy-duty vehicles and advanced mechanical systemsStrong mix of design, analysis, and real-world production supportExposure to full product lifecycle engineeringHigh likelihood of conversion to full-timeCore Responsibilities:Design and develop mechanical components and vehicle systems for heavy-duty/off-highway equipmentCreate 3D CAD models and assemblies using PTC CreoPerform engineering analysis, calculations, and design validationGenerate 2D drawings, GD&T, specifications, and bills of materials (BOMs)Support vehicle integration, packaging, and system-level designEvaluate designs for performance, durability, safety, and reliabilityCollaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, supply chain, suppliers)Provide production and troubleshooting support for engineering issuesAnalyze and resolve design failures, field issues, and test resultsPrepare technical reports, documentation, and presentationsMentor junior engineers and support project executionRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field3+ years of experience in mechanical design / product developmentExperience with 3D CAD (Creo strongly preferred; SolidWorks, NX, CATIA acceptable)Strong understanding of:Mechanical systems designEngineering drawings & GD&TMaterials and manufacturing processesAbility to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional engineering environmentPreferred / Nice-to-Have:Experience with heavy-duty vehicles, automotive, defense, or off-highway equipmentFamiliarity with PLM tools such as WindchillExperience with:Structural components / chassis / framesHydraulics, powertrain, or vehicle systemsFEA / engineering analysis toolsBackground supporting prototype builds or manufacturing environments
